What is BNEC?

On June 11, 1992, deriving from a passion to further master the English language and the awareness on how critical the language is for everyone to learn and master (especially for BINUS students), BNEC was born.

As an English-based organization, BNEC provides several platforms such as classes, community, and many more to improve its member's English skills and give them a competitive edge in the professional world. By joining BNEC, members can learn English together while improving their other skills as well, so they don't need to be already English savvy to join BNEC.

Board of Management

As an organization, BNEC provides an opportunity for members to improve their soft skills and hard skills along with a lot of organizational experiences by becoming the Board of Management. BNEC’s Board of Management is a group of extraordinary people who were chosen to contribute in managing BNEC as an organization at BINUS University. They also gain opportunities to join both international and national events, such as Asian English Olympics, National English Olympics, Social Event, and many more.

By joining the Board of Management, you will be trained to become extraordinary people, which means you will be shaped to work professionally to make it easier to compete in the world of work. This is manifested by the formation of a more critical way of thinking, working effectively in teams, excellent problem solving, and many more!

Being a talent means getting an exclusive opportunity to join both national and international competitions as BINUS’s delegation.
Talent also receives exceptional training by experienced and professional coaches in each BNEC Talent Community field

Storytelling is a field where we are given a change to present and act out a narrative of own original story based on the topics given.

This field can stimulate one’s intelectual capacity, especially in solving various problems or issues in life.

Speech is a field where we can deliver a speech prepared to the judges based on the topics given.

Newscasting is a field that test your readiness to be a news anchor, whre you will be given news material with various topics.
